| If
you live on a lake, bay or pond that has a sediment problem, in most
cases your neighbors will have the same problem. Contact them to organize
a meeting so we can explain the details. The more people you have
involved, the less it will cost for each property owner. |

PERMITS
In most cases permits are required for work on lakes, streams, rivers
or drainage canals. Permits must be obtained from the DNR, county
or local government and the Army Corps of Engineers. Some permits
can take up to a year to get! Bring us into the picture early on to
assist in these matters. These requirements are in place for the protection
of the environment including wildlife, fisheries and neighboring properties. |

|
| Projects
that are over three thousand cubic yards and involved in sensitive
areas will require an environmental impact assessment. Plan ahead
so the permit process can be started. Usually the permit process is
lengthy due to turn around time. Get your permit applications in early,
look for a place to dispose of material and contact us so we may advise.
There are also consulting firms that can assist you, for a fee, in
the permitting process. |
